Open to broadcast media that produce feature on medical travel in Malaysia.
The awards will be evaluated based on the following five key areas:
Quality of Research (30 points)
Quality of Technique / Presentations (20 points)
Creativity (20 points)
Content/ Headlines (20 points)
Digital/ Social Presence/ Shareability (10 points)
Any articles, videos and social media postings related to promoting Malaysia Healthcare and Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council. For example: A news coverage related to Malaysia Healthcare / MHTC corporate announcement / own experience or patients’ physical / virtual healthcare experience in Malaysia. This applies to all Award Categories.
COVID-19 related reports that tie back to the promotion and mention of Malaysia Healthcare will be qualified to be submitted as an entry, except reports that are focusing solely on COVID-19 numbers in Malaysia. For example: An article or a story on how COVID-19 has affected the Malaysia Healthcare industry in Malaysia / Malaysia healthcare professionals attentive care when you or your interviewer got affected by COVID-19 / medical tourism travel bubble related stories. This applies to all Award Categories.
Word and Social Posting Limit
Broadcast Media: A minimum of 60-seconds in length
Professional journalists and writers, and media agencies who are permanently and/or contractually, employed by print, electronic and online media organisations globally. Full time journalists working for wires agency are also eligible to participate by virtue of their role as news providers to media organisations.
Freelancers and stringers/part-timers are welcomed to participate with the prior approval from the editor/news agency where the report was published or broadcasted.
Freelancers, stringers/part-timers, and media practitioners in institutions contracted by MHTC and/or those affiliated with the MTMA Secretariat are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate.
All submissions must be in English. Entries in other languages must be submitted together with an official translation in English.
All submissions must be made strictly on the MTMA Entry Form and contain full contact details of the entrant, including, passport-sized photograph, official work address, telephone, and e-mail. Entries must reach the secretariat by 5 p.m. on 8 October 2021 (MYT). Any late submission will not be counted.
Terms and Conditions
An official entry form must accompany all submissions.
All entries must include the reach of their article on social media. Please provide a file with the breakdown of post engagement on each social media platform. For influencers, all entries must be accompanied with the requested data, which can be referred under the Eligibility section.
An original clipping or scanned copy in PDF format of the print/online report must be included in the submission. For broadcast and influencers who are submitting videos, all entries must include a transcript of the recording and shared via a Google Drive link, a WeTransfer link or a YouTube link.
Prizes will be awarded to category winners.
Entrants agree to the reproduction of their submission for the purpose of judging and promotion of the awards. The judges have the right not to make an award in any category and their decision is final.
The organiser holds absolute discretion not to award certain categories to maintain the prestige and/or integrity of the Awards.
