Vol 02 | 2017
Assalamualaikum and warm greetings from Malaysia Healthcare.
Malaysia is fast emerging to be a true force in the healthcare travel industry. Our country's progress is on track to outpace the global healthcare travel market, which is expected to grow in value at 24% per annum until 2020. In 2016, Malaysia had already recorded a growth of 23%, compared to 2015, and we aim to reach a 30% growth by 2020.
At the helm of the industry, Malaysian private hospitals and industry stakeholders have worked hand in hand, demonstrating true grit and tenacity in making Malaysia Healthcare the destination for healthcare. This is truly admirable and we are confident that with such strong drivers, our goal to achieve RM1.3 billion revenue in 2017 is within reach.
We are also pleased to announce that our annual medical travel conference, InsigHT 2017 is making a comeback, this 26 and 27 September. Expect to meet and exchange thoughts with notable speakers such as Mr. Keith Pollard from UK, Ms. Lexi Fletcher from Singapore, Dr. HM Goh from China, Dato' Dr. Jacob Thomas of Malaysia, and more. We are very honoured to have our very own Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr. S. Subramaniam to deliver the Keynote Address. Let's go beyond with Malaysia Healthcare and ultimately become the leading global healthcare destination.
