Assalamualaikum and warm greetings from Malaysia Healthcare.
Malaysia Healthcare has been blazing down the road of success in the first quarter of the 2019, and our gears have only just warmed up! With our eyes firmly fixed on our goal for 25% growth this year, we set out to expand our reach further in our key focus markets.
The year started out with the Malaysia Healthcare Expo in Jakarta and Malaysia Healthcare Pavilion in Surabaya where we saw a huge turn-out of the Indonesian community eager to snatch up available healthcare packages. Moving up north, in Shenzen, China, Malaysia Healthcare signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MJ Life to enhance our end-to-end service offerings. In Xiamen, Malaysia Healthcare offered one-on-one consultations, anchored by Alpha Fertility Centre, and received an overwhelming response of aspiring parents hoping to have their dreams of having children come true.
It has been quite encouraging to see how Malaysia Healthcare has been expanding its reach beyond our focus markets, China, Indonesia, India, Myanmar and Vietnam, through public-private partnerships and we have so much in store for the second quarter!
In the wake of numerous lives being affected by non-communicable diseases, we kickstarted our 2019 campaign, Share My Experience to encourage people from across the globe to make the migration from reactive care to preventive care. How are we doing it? We are inspiring everyone to be superheroes! With non-communicable diseases on the rise and claiming many lives each year globally, we hope that sharing your healthcare journey experience can inspire others to make a change and save their lives!
All this brings us to 2020, where we hope to see empowered healthcare travellers take stock of Malaysia Healthcare’s quality service offerings and change their lifestyles for the better! We are less than a year away from Malaysia Year of Healthcare Travel 2020, the nation’s first international healthcare travel campaign aimed at inviting people to come Experience Malaysia Healthcare.
Come August 2019, Malaysia Healthcare will be hosting the world’s first international medical travel media award and we are looking forward to awarding our inaugural winners. Submissions for our Medical Travel Media Awards is coming soon – if you are a journalist reading this, you only have THREE MONTHS to submit your work. Visit here for more info.
Back for the fourth year is insigHT 2019! Malaysia’s leading medical travel market intelligence conference this year is themed ‘Differentiation for Excellence’, and we will be graced by the presence of YB Tuan Lim Guan Eng, Finance Minister of Malaysia, at the conference. Join us at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 24th and 25th September 2019 to find out how Malaysia is prioritising Differentiation for Excellence towards becoming the leading global healthcare destination.
As we turn the page to the next quarter, we hope to forge more meaningful partnerships and propel Malaysia Healthcare further into the global frontier of healthcare travel. With trust as our anchor, we envision more support from partners and stakeholders as we aspire to host more healthcare travellers from across the world. Let us all work towards a fulfilling and productive second quarter. Until, then.

Malaysia Healthcare was in Jakarta from 15th to 17th February 2019 for the Malaysia Healthcare Expo (MHX) which will be travelling across the Asian region this year. Jakarta saw 11 participating private hospitals and healthcare facilities from Malaysia who conducted health talks, panel discussions and free health checks! The MHX is an expo which brings Malaysia Healthcare to the doorstep of healthcare travellers where our service offerings are showcased at designated booths and through fun activities!
In March, MHX joined the AirAsia’s Travel Fair 2019 in Surabaya to showcase healthcare packages from Sunway Medical Centre, Metro IVF, Island Hospital, Thomson Kota Damansara Hospital, and ALPS Medical to the local community. The MH pavilion attracted many visitors throughout the 3-day fair from 22nd to 24th March 2019 and we are hoping to see many healthcare travellers from Surabaya on our shores soon!
From 6th to 11th March, Malaysia was ITB Berlin’s country partner this year where we created quite an impact! Missed out on all the happenings? Recapture those moments through the links below:
