Message from Chief Commercial Officer

Assalamualaikum and greetings from Malaysia Healthcare!

Malaysia Healthcare has chosen to kickstart 2021 with a desire to close the gaps in service delivery while protecting our nation and providing continuum of care for our international patients at the same time. Thanks to Malaysia’s healthcare infrastructure and public-private partnerships, we were able to build a safe system for this purpose, be it connecting our patients with our hospitals virtually or by way of a medical travel bubble, preserving the trust we have cultivated over the years with our global patients. Further supporting the recovery of the industry, the government has implemented Malaysia’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan, which we view as a crucial catalyst for the rebound of the nation’s economy.

As we sprint towards post-pandemic recovery, it is good to take a step back every now and then to remember the reason we are able to move ahead this year. Our brave and dedicated frontliners have been protecting our nation from an imperceptible enemy, risking their lives on a daily basis to save ours. Malaysia Healthcare has chosen to commemorate their efforts on the one-year anniversary of Malaysia’s first lockdown through a compilation of stories from 100 frontliners in a dedicated e-book titled ‘A Hundred Unsung Heroes’.

As we press on for a better future, let us continue to be vigilant, following all SOPs that have been set by the government to flatten the curve once and for all. In support of this, Malaysia Healthcare will be rolling out a campaign called ‘The End Starts with You’, which will encourage everyone to commit to our role in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

It is my greatest hope that the united front displayed by Malaysia, the World’s Healthcare Marvel, in our commitment towards flattening the curve, keeping each other safe and serving world-class quality healthcare, will be highlighted this year as we foray ahead in our road to recovery.

Stay safe everyone!

Thank you.

A Hundred Unsung Heroes

Exactly a year ago, on 18 March 2020, Malaysia went into a nation-wide lockdown, compelling everyone to stay at home – except our frontliners. These dedicated men and women, range from healthcare workers, military, police, non-government organisation volunteers, delivery personnel and more.

Their stories remind us that our battle against COVID-19 takes a village to combat and we should be vigilant to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to keep each other safe.A year later, on 18 March 2021, we present a compilation of their stories from the heart, a reflection of their courage, determination, and perseverance in the battle against COVID-19.

Click here to read their stories, share their tales of dedication and celebrate them with us. To our Unsung Heroes, we salute you!
