The Road to Herd Immunity: July Outlook

Since the implementation of The National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) earlier this year, Malaysia has seen several key milestones and initiatives take effect as the country progresses towards achieving herd immunity. In the first week of the new month alone, Malaysia surpassed the 300,000 daily dose mark of COVID-19 vaccines administered since Phase 1 began in February.

There are currently over 500 vaccine administration centres in the country, comprising of public and private hospitals (including that of Malaysia Healthcare’s member hospitals), GPs, and mega vaccination centres such as the Bukit Jalil National Stadium – which has capacity to administer 10,000 doses per day.

If you haven’t done so yet, we highly encourage you to register for your COVID-19 vaccination at https://www.vaksincovid.gov.my/ The vaccine is provided for free to all citizens and non-citizens of Malaysia.

The road to herd immunity should be driven by a whole of government and society approach. Together, we all have our roles to play in contributing to the success of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme, to ensure the safety of our loved ones and our community.

Lindungi Diri. Lindungi Semua.
