Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) welcomes its new Chief Executive Officer, En. Mohd Daud Mohd Arif, effective 5 April 2021. En. Mohd Daud previously served as Senior Director of Tourism Policy and International Affairs Division at the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, and Lead Shepherd of the APEC Tourism Working Group.
With 20 years of leadership, Mr. Mohd Daud brings a fresh perspective to Malaysia Healthcare’s growth, furthering the country’s vision to be the leading global healthcare destination.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from McGill University, Canada, and Master’s degree in International Relations from Waseda University, Japan. En. Mohd Daud has several awards under his belt including the Ontario Scholar’s Award, Graduate School Valedictorian, and the UNWTO Ulysses Award for Innovation in Public Policy and Governance for The Malaysia Homestay Experience Programme.
En. Mohd Daud possesses an extensive portfolio in building the nation’s tourism industry through positions held as the Director of Tourism Industry Development, the Director of Culture and Tourism at the ASEAN-Korea Centre, and Chair of several international committees, including the ASEAN Tourism Professional Committee, COMCEC Standing Committee and ASEAN-KOREA Tourism Working Group.
